Charlie "Mutt" Ferrell Jr. spent years perfecting that sequence, and his granddaughter Charlynda has been sharing it with the world since 2013.

What is Mutt's Sauce?
Is Mutt's Sauce women-owned?
Yes. Mutt's Sauce LLC is founded and owned by Charlynda Scales. She is the CEO, the steward of the original recipe, and the person who made the decision to take her grandfather's handwritten formula and build a company around it. Fully women-owned from day one.
Is Mutt's Sauce veteran-owned?
Yes. Charlynda served as an officer in the United States Air Force and was on active duty when she first learned she had inherited her grandfather's recipe. Her grandfather, Charlie "Mutt" Ferrell Jr., was also an Air Force veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam eras. The company carries that legacy of service into everything it does.
Is Mutt's Sauce made in the USA?
Yes. Mutt's Sauce is produced domestically. Charlynda has intentionally built her supply chain around keeping the production close to home.
What are the ingredients?
Mutt's Sauce Original contains: Tomato Paste, Distilled White Vinegar, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Spice, Onion Powder, Natural Flavoring, Soy Sauce (Water, Wheat, Soybeans, Salt), Vegetable Oil, and Mustard.
Allergen notice: Mutt's Sauce contains soy and wheat. It is manufactured in a facility that also processes eggs. If you have a food allergy, please read the label carefully before consuming.

How long does Mutt's Sauce last?
The shelf life has been laboratory tested at two years. The expiration date is laser-printed on every bottle. The preservative is white vinegar — no artificial stabilizers.
Once you open it, refrigerate it and use it within a year. You may notice separation over time, similar to Italian dressing. That's normal. We don't use xanthan gum to make it look thick on a shelf. Give it a shake and it's ready.
My local store is out of mutt's sauce. What do I do?
Pitch a schoolyard fit! Just kidding. Go speak to the grocery manager and let him/her know that you showed up to get your favorite sauce and they need to restock. This will cause a chain of events that seriously help us get on the shelf in more places. Thank you!
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
What if my order arrives damaged?
If your package shows physical damage or you have concerns about the product, email us at info@muttssauce.com with a photo and your order number. We'll take care of you with a full replacement.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Because orders process quickly, contact us immediately if something needs to change. Email info@muttssauce.com with CANCEL/CHANGE ORDER #[your number] in the subject line. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM MT. We'll do everything we can to catch it before it ships.
What about returns on apparel?
Apparel and gear can be returned within 30 days of purchase for in-store credit, a refund, or a replacement.
